It is already 2021 and the world still have not recovered from the virus that made most of the countries experience lockdowns, community quarantines, cancelled flights and less physical interactions; and the virus that made lots of tissue papers in every grocery store get out of stock is called Coronavirus or also known as Covid-19.
The Coronavirus came from Wuhan, China and had spread all across the globe because it is a highly contagious virus that can be easily transmitted through coughs, sneezes, being at the range of someone who is infected and touching contaminated surfaces and then touching your face after.
Because of Covid-19 the government advised
that people should avoid handshakes, hugs and execute social distancing for at
least 6 feet apart from each other for the mean time as to avoid getting
infected and/or infecting other people. And due to lockdowns, people are also
advised not to go outside as much as possible and just stay inside of their own
houses.
Here in the Philippines, kids below 18
years old and elderlies that are above 60 are not allowed to go outside because
they are more prone to getting infected by the virus. And for other people that
belong to the allowed age can't just go outside however they please, there are
multiple protocols that they should abide to for the safety of many people.
For an individual to be allowed to go outside should have a permit (or quarantine pass) from their respective barangays, they should always use a mask and face shield, other people even use disposable gloves. And some cities are developing mobile trackers using QR codes for easy tracking of where someone went, people are not allowed to enter malls and other buildings without these codes.
Since Covid-19 appeared people experienced lots of cancellations in concerts, parties, flights, works and etc. and even face to face learning in schools were cancelled for many countries. Concerts were done through online, birthday parties were mostly only celebrated at home, flights in the airports were mostly cancelled but is steadily continuing services, and lastly, learnings and works are being accomplished through the new normal which is online classes and working from home where people are having lots of Zoom meetings or Google meets.
Coronavirus really changed us, it
changed and is changing our mental and emotional health, our everyday lives, our
perspectives of what is happening around us, our priorities in life, our ways
of interacting and communicating to other people and many more. Lots of vaccines are getting researched and tested from many countries so that we can be free from the fear of the virus. After this
Covid-19, it is not guaranteed that our lives will go back to what it was before
Covid-19, but it is guaranteed that we will still continue partying, attending
concerts, travelling and interacting with different people and do hugs and shake
each other’s hands.
