Lesson 5: Types of Media

Hi! Welcome back to my Blog!

Our fifth lesson this week is about the Types of Media. There are five different forms of Media that was taught to us by our Educator, the Cinema, Television, Radio, Internet and lastly, is the Newspaper. And for this week's blog, before I tell my insights, I will first compare and contrast the different types of media such as Broadcast/Television, Paper/Newspaper, and Online/Internet.

The NEWS in different types of Media are the same but the way they deliver it are different. Just like in Broadcast, most of the time there are always a reporter that is speaking in front of the camera, because through the Television there is a screen to visually see how the reporter gives information to the people that was watching.

There are also news that are delivered through Papers which is the Newspaper, and these are more popular to older people and to those just want to read silently and have some entertainments or other mini stories, I think that the Newspapers are the most entertaining Media that delivers news because not only it contains the news but it also has mini games, mini stories, and job offerings for those who are looking for a job.

And lastly, news delivery through Online, this media is the most hard to view because you first need to have a gadget and an internet connection or you won't see the news. These type of media is more popular to teenagers, because almost all of teenagers have smartphones nowadays to communicate to other people through Social Media. And in Online, you can just watch and listen to the news just like in Broadcast and you can also just read it silently just like in Papers.

And for my insights:

I think it is important to know the differences of every Media like Cinema, Television, Radio, Internet and Newspaper to use them on what you need. Because what if you want to visually see the speaker, but you used the Radio, then that is wrong. And what if you are also in a quiet place just like the Library and you want to be updated on the current news but you used again the Radio, that will disturb other people that is also inside the Library and you might get kicked out because you don't know the right Media to use.

Thank you for reading my blog, see you next week! Stay safe, stay well! Ciao! :)
